GANGWAL PMC OFFICE

Naturally lit and spacious, the firm’s office spanning an area of 400 sq. yards is an elegant sight for sore eyes. The team initially worked in an apartment-cum-office setup, and as the numbers expanded, so did the need for a bigger office space for Gangwal PMC.

The ground floor comprises the designer’s section, an R&D section, two cabins, an IT room, a sample collection lab, and a restroom. The service area on the ground floor is also the lunchroom for the staff. Contrary to the feature walls being a focal point in their design, the office walls were left plain to complement the serene ambiance of the space. Only one wall was hand-painted to give a traditional vibe. The staircase which leads to the first floor is heavily inspired by the stepped well in the Nahargarh Fort of Jaipur.

The first floor has a conference room, the master chamber, an accounts office, a sample room, a display area, and a restroom. Traditional elements are there throughout the office. The conference room has a striking pillar handmade in brass wire, while the restrooms are hand-painted by local artists to reflect the city’s architectural floral pattern. The collection of handcrafted products acquired by the core team’s travel around the world is the best highlight of the office. These products range from tables to metal brackets to brass pots.

The metal brackets used to cast arches on the balcony are the most alluring part. Adding to this, the art piece of the doors of Haveli of Jodhpur on the master cabin wall depicts Lord Ganesha in various Mudras is a striking feature. Lastly, the effort to customize everything got its final-touch with the Italian imported furniture.
